Cervical osteochondrosis: home treatment

Cervical osteochondrosis is malnutrition and the gradual destruction of the cervical vertebrae. The disorder manifests itself as pain in the neck radiating to the shoulders, arms and head. If left untreated, cervical osteochondrosis progresses and is accompanied not only by severe cramps, dizziness, numbness of the limbs, tinnitus due to pinched blood vessels.

We have prepared material for everyone who is faced with the problem of cervical osteochondrosis and wants to cure it at home.

Cervical osteochondrosis

The reasons for the development of pathology

Cervical osteochondrosis is a disease of our time. The main reason for its occurrence is a sedentary lifestyle. This leads to an increased load on the neck region, under the influence of which a muscle spasm occurs, which adversely affects blood circulation. The nutritional processes associated with the movement of blood in the cervical spine are disrupted, the structure of the intervertebral discs and joints between the vertebrae changes. Over time, bone growths form on the cervical vertebrae, this reduces the mobility of the cervical spine, causes pain and numbness in the shoulder girdle.

Other causes of cervical osteochondrosis include:

  • Posture disorders;
  • increased body weight;
  • constant back strain during work (drivers, office workers);
  • increased physical activity;
  • Spinal injury.

Signs and symptoms

It is possible to identify the presence of cervical osteochondrosis at an early stage, since with minor changes in the structure of the cervical vertebrae, a person can already feel discomfort. Over time, the influence of degenerative changes increases. As a result of the manifestation of cervical osteochondrosis, it can be divided into the following stages:

  1. Mild neck pain that may be made worse by moving your head.
  2. The pain intensifies, it can radiate into the shoulders or arms. It is accompanied by weakness, absent-mindedness, headache.
  3. Pain sensations become permanent, numbness of the hands is added.
  4. There are attacks of severe dizziness with tinnitus, dark spots in front of the eyes, incoordination, numbness of the tongue, decreased vision.
Pain in cervical osteochondrosis

Injuries to the cervical spine are very dangerous as it pinches the nerve roots of the spinal cord and the arteries that supply the brain. If you experience signs of cervical osteochondrosis, it is important to start treatment as soon as possible.

Basics of treatment

Conservative therapy in the treatment of cervical osteochondrosis shows high efficiency. All of their activities can be carried out at home with the permission of a doctor.

Treatment focuses on:

  • Removing the load from the spine;
  • Elimination of pain;
  • Removal of muscle contractures;
  • Preventing further changes in the tissues surrounding the cervical vertebrae;
  • Elimination of deafness;
  • Normalization of sleep.

Methods of treatment at home

Vegetable raw materials for the treatment of cervical osteochondrosis

For the treatment of cervical osteochondrosis at home, you can use vegetable and animal raw materials that you bought from a pharmacy or collected yourself. massage

Neck massage for osteochondrosis

Independent kneading of the neck helps increase blood circulation, thereby ensuring the necessary tissue nutrition, and massage also prevents the deposition of salts, relieves pain and relaxes muscles.

Self-massage for cervical osteochondrosis:

  1. Sit on a chair or other moderately hard surface to keep your back straight.

Exercise therapy

Performing physical therapy exercises is a prerequisite for the effective treatment of cervical osteochondrosis. The main goal of exercise therapy is to increase the mobility of the patient's cervical vertebrae, improve hydration of the intervertebral discs, which can facilitate neck movements and relieve pain. Before training, consult your doctor, he will help you choose the optimal regimen and timing.

During exercise therapy, it is forbidden to sharply bend the neck or actively turn the head, only a slight hint of such movements is correct. Despite its apparent simplicity, this method of treating cervical osteochondrosis has proven effective. Such a remedy also has contraindications. The applicator is not used in pregnancy, oncology, epilepsy, skin diseases at the exposure site, hemophilia, severe cardiovascular insufficiency.

Exercise equipment

Simulator for the treatment of cervical osteochondrosis

Cervical osteochondrosis is a gradual destruction of the spine. This problem is irreversible and does not allow you to live your normal life. Therefore, it is necessary to devote time to treatment, and it is important to do it in different directions. Massage, exercise therapy, acupuncture - all this allows you to remove the clamps from the muscles, increase blood flow to the cervical spine, stretch the intervertebral discs so that they do not deform, but rather stretch and fill with moisture. To achieve all of these goals, an exercise bike was specially developed.

It is a frame system with handles and castors. All rollers have different diameters, the largest of which - the active roller acts specifically on problem areas. You simply install it in the place where the greatest effect is required, in this case in the neck, lie down with your back on the simulator, fix your hands on the handles and make rocking movements back and forth. Enough 10 minutes a day to achieve the desired therapeutic effect. Especially for the treatment of cervical osteochondrosis, a role with wooden spikes has been added to the set of the simulator, which perform an acupuncture function.

When training on the simulator, the entire spine is gently stretched, blood flow to the cervical spine is promoted and muscle clamps are removed. Together with the cervical spine, the entire spine and the occiput are massaged.

Natural oak and ash wood is used to manufacture the simulator, the construction can withstand high loads and is suitable for people with a large body weight. The length of the different models also varies, so you can buy a simulator for your height.

Depending on the degree of cervical osteochondrosis, it takes an average of 2 months for it to recover. As a result, the pain disappears, normal blood circulation is restored, the dizziness disappears and, in general, the physical condition of the entire organism improves.

Briefly about the advantages of the simulator:

  • Massage, acupuncture and exercise therapy with a simulator;
  • suitable for the treatment of all back problems;
  • made of durable wood, light and compact;
  • Easy to use;
  • suitable for the whole family.

The spine is the inner core of the body on which the condition of your body depends. Take care of his health with fitness equipment so that he remains fit and flexible even after years.
